What is the theme for 2015?

This year, we are celebrating Pride United!  Uniting our diverse community as a whole.

I am interested being a sponsor, vendor or parade participant in this year’s Pride festivities, but what are the costs?

Wonderful! We are always looking for exciting new brands/businesses to be part of our event. You can e-mail Matt Riha, our Marketing & Communications Director at to get involved or Vendors & Parade participants can register here on our website.

I keep seeing ticket prices for the event. Do I need to purchase a ticket in order to enjoy Come Out With Pride?

We are proud to be one of the last few Pride events to remain completely FREE to the public. The tickets you are seeing are for VIP areas as well as official events available throughout the week, some of which have preferred viewing of entertainment offerings, as well as free food or complimentary drinks.

I am interested in performing at Come Out With Pride, who do I need to contact?

How can I make sure Pride remains a FREE event?

Our annual budget for this event is close to $300,000. This includes half in trade that we receive from generous sponsors (advertising, marketing, equipment) and half in cash that needs to be spent for the various year-round expenses and “day of”. Few understand that while Come Out With Pride is a non profit organization, it is still subjected to normal rates for Park Rental, Police, Fire, entertainment, liquor, road closure, equipment rental and purchase, office space, etc. If our whole community gets engaged it allows our Pride celebration to remain a FREE ONE. To do so, make sure you promote the event. Liquor and ticket sales for special events account for close to 25% of our budget. Know of a vendor or sponsor interested in promoting their business to 150,000 individuals? refer them to us. And of course, whenever possible, attend our fundraising events year long.

I would like to be a volunteer for this year’s event. How do I get involved?

We are so excited that you want to volunteer your services. You can e-mail our Logistics Director Bob Azzarito to If we need someone to help out, we will be in touch. If you are not asked to help, we still want you there! Showing support for our community is just as powerful and important!

What’s happening on Pride Day?

On Pride day, you get to enjoy a Festival of vendors at the park, a parade (starting at 4pm), stage entertainment and Fireworks. But more than that, you also get to participate in this event in ways that showcase a united community coming together proud of their diversity, their culture, their authenticity.

What are “Official Events” and how are they pre-screened?

Official events are organized by third party promoters who have expressed interest in taking part in the week long celebration. The promoters submit a proposal to Come Out With Pride who takes the following steps:

– Ensure no other event is already listed for the requested date
– Ensure the content of the event fits with COWP’s mission and value
– Ensure the financial stability of the promoter to the guests’ benefit.

Promoters then pay an “official event” fee which is flat and based on the day and length of the event. Such fee is put towards promoting the official events and the rights to use the name and logo of COWP which are trademarked. Promoters also receive assistance from COWP in the conceptual implementation of the event as well as recommendations based on COWP’s past experience.
