When/where is Come Out With Pride 2014?
Come Out With Pride’s event this year, 2014, will be held October 6-12. The week will include a series of smaller and official events leading to the MAIN event on Saturday October 11 from Noon to 10pm at Lake Eola, downtown Orlando (map) – That main event day will include a festival, parade, entertainment, fireworks and a concert.
Where can I park?
We have prepared a parking map for you. Click here to see it!
Note that we do not handle parking. City and Private companies make parking spaces available for a flat fee during large events downtown Orlando. You may park for free in the streets where allowed. Note that ROBINSON, ROSALIND and EOLA DRIVE will be closed ALL DAY around Lake Eola.
I noticed you have bars on the map. Where can I drink?
Come Out With Pride is the largest beer garden at Lake Eola. We have barricades all around the lake and the yellow dotted lines on this map (click here) indicate the drinking area. Walk around the lake, enjoy the festival and the entertainment with a cocktail in hands. All liquor sales at COWP bars benefit Come Out With Pride Orlando.
My tickets include one or several drink coupons. Where can I use them?
Drink tickets can be used at any of our bars on Thursday October 9 or Saturday October 11. The drink tickets embedded in your VIP EXPERIENCE credentials can only be used at the VIP EXPERIENCE though.
I have a printed ticket. Do I need to stop by WILL CALL?

I am interested being a sponsor, vendor or parade participant in this year’s Pride festivities, but what are the costs?
Wonderful! We are always looking for exciting new brands/businesses to be part of our event. You can e-mail our Executive Director at Mikael@comeoutwithpride.org to get involved or Vendors & Parade participants can register here on our website.
I keep seeing ticket prices for the event. Do I need to purchase a ticket in order to enjoy Come Out With Pride?
We are proud to be one of the last few Pride events to remain completely FREE to the public. Take a look at our Tickets section to decide which would be best for you.
I am interested in performing at Come Out With Pride, who do I need to contact?
At this time, our entertainment line-up is completed. Please contact us in April or May of each year to be considered.
How can I make sure Pride remains a FREE event?
Our annual budget for this event is close to $300,000. This includes half in trade that we receive from generous sponsors (advertising, marketing, equipment) and half in cash that needs to be spent for the various year-round expenses and “day of”. Few understand that while Come Out With Pride is a non profit organization, it is still subjected to normal rates for Park Rental, Police, Fire, entertainment, liquor, road closure, equipment rental and purchase, office space, etc… Executive Director Mikael Audebert has pledged to keep Pride FREE to attend so long that is is leading the organization, but such pledge becomes more and more difficult to keep unless a whole community gets engaged in making sure their Pride celebration remains a FREE ONE. To do so, make sure you promote the event. Liquor and ticket sales for special events account for close to 25% of our budget. Know of a vendor or sponsor interested in promoting their business to 120,000 individuals? refer them to us. And of course, whenever possible, attend our fundraising events year long. We pride ourselves in never asking for donations, but instead, provide fun events for our guests to enjoy, all while benefiting YOUR celebration.
I would like to be a volunteer for this year’s event. How do I get involved?
We are so excited that you want to volunteer your services. You can e-mail our Logistics Director Bob Azzarito to email@example.com. If we need someone to help out, we will be in touch. If you are not asked to help, we still want you there! Showing support for our community is just as powerful and important!
What’s happening on Pride Day?
On Pride day, you get to enjoy a Festival of vendors at the park, a parade (starting at 4pm), stage entertainment and Fireworks. But more than that, you also get to participate in this event in ways that showcase a united community coming together proud of their diversity, their culture, their authenticity. This year, we added a Dance Floor Lakeside which will keep the overall event open until 10PM. For more information, mouse over EVENTS and go down to PRIDE DAY to get details on all the various activities happening that day.
What are “Official Events” and how are they pre-screened?
Official events are organized by third party promoters who have expressed interest in taking part in the week long celebration. The promoters submit a proposal to the Executive Director of Come Out With Pride who takes the following steps:
- Ensure no other event is already listed for the requested date
- Ensure the content of the event fits with COWP’s mission and value
- Ensure the financial stability of the promoter to the guests’ benefit.
Promoters then pay an “official event” fee which is flat and based on the day and length of the event. Such fee is put towards promoting the official events and the rights to use the name and logo of COWP which are trademarked. Promoters also receive assistance from COWP in the conceptual implementation of the event as well as recommendations based on COWP’s past experience. COWP does not receive any further compensation or donation from the promoters. To submit a request to hold an official event, email our Executive Director no later than February 28 each and every year.
