Orlando’s Come Out With Pride® Will Elope 10 Couples On Stage At Their Festival.

Come Out With Pride’s Executive Director is bringing the Commitment Ceremony back, to be held on Saturday October 5, 2013 at Lake Eola.

Tickets are $75 per couple, sold to the first 10 couples that purchase them.

Each couple will receive a bouquet of flowers and celebrate their shared love with a commitment ceremony officiated by City Commissioner Patty Sheehan.

Come Out With Pride® Orlando 2013 will be presented by returning sponsor MACY’S!

Central Florida – Orlando’s Come Out With Pride® festival, held the week of October 1-6, 2013 will be welcoming back MACY’S as presenting sponsor for the second year in a row. Macy’s district Vice-President Lee O’Rourke gave her full support behind this annual celebration that drew 100,000 people in 2012.

“With a growing and ever-expanding event, Come Out With Pride® is pleased to have achieved the quality and the level of professionalism large corporations like Macy’s thrive to be associated with” said Mikael F. Come Out With Pride® Orlando will be held the week of October 1-6, 2013 with the main event to take place at Lake Eola on Saturday October 5, 2013. The production team is set to start working on the largest Pride celebration in Florida early January.

Come Out With Pride launches Iphone APP

Come Out With Pride® Orlando launches the FIRST App for a Pride event in Florida!

Central Florida – Orlando’s Come Out With Pride® festival, held the week of October 6, 2012, just launched the very first Iphone App for a Gay Pride event in Florida. Powered by Edge Media Network, the app will allow festival goers to stay updated on the latest news, entertainment line up, contests, schedule of events as well as being able to locate vendors on the map, upload event pictures and buy tickets. In a few weeks, the APP will also become a resource for LGBT individuals struggling with the issues of Coming Out.

"This was one of my main goals for 2012. Come Out With Pride has grown to be an event that attracts people from around the World. Our App is bringing us one step closer to connecting us to the a broader audience all while fulfilling our mission and providing our guests an enhanced experience" said Mikael F. Audebert, COWP's Executive Director.

The app is currently available on Iphone. However, a DROID version is being worked on and should be released by the time Pride week kicks in (October 1-7)

ALL downloads between August 31 and September 30 (midnight) will be entered into a drawing with prizes including 2 tickets on Jet Blue, 2 tickets to Dinner & Fireworks, 2 tickets to La Nouba and much more.

Orlando Pride Festival Launches Public Service Announcements For LGBT Awareness Campaigns.

Orlando’s annual Come Out With Pride® festival, held in October, has recently produced two on-air Public Service Announcements (PSA’s) that will be broadcasted on stations such as FX, Fox News, CNN, ESPN and SPIKE through Bright House Networks, a sponsor of Come Out With Pride® Orlando. The PSA’s will air in June with two more in the making to air later in July.
The PSA’s are designed to bring about awareness, not activism, in the hopes of ensuring an authentic lifestyle for the LGBT community. Never before have major television networks aired PSA’s in support of marriage equality awareness. The Come Out With Pride® committee is proud to present the PSA’s to the public and recognize what a monumental achievement it is for the LGBT community.

Downtown Orlando’s Come Out With Pride® Festival Goes Eco Friendly To Protect The City Beautiful.

Central Florida – Orlando’s Come Out With Pride® festival, held on October 6, 2012, plans to ensure a fun, safe, and Eco Friendly environment for its crowd goers by reducing carbon emissions and minimizing the event’s environmental impact on the community.

The downtown Orlando area is not unfamiliar with hosting large public festivals that draw attendances of 50,000 plus. Such events bring local businesses much revenue that help boost Orlando’s economy. However, these well attended events often hurt Orlando’s ecological wellbeing in the wake of their aftermath. The Come Out With Pride® committee would like to ensure the repercussions of their October event are at a minimum, and have taken multiple steps to compensate for the festival’s environmental impact.

This year Come Out With Pride® has partnered with the GREEN AIR PROJECT, an organization dedicated to helping reduce CO2 outputs and other negative affects on the environment. The partnership will aid in offsetting Orlando’s carbon footprint by planting enough trees to cover 5 times its estimated footprint for the whole year. Other efforts will include eliminating the use of generators on location, distribution of eco-friendly napkins and cups, accessible recycling containers for festival guests, and multiple exhibitors showcasing various eco-friendly products and services and green technology.

Come Out With Pride® encourages other local festivals to help residents and visitors manage their environmental impact responsibly.
