Senior Inclusivity & Alphabet Soup

Sat, 9:30am, Adventure Room

The objectives of this presentation would be to share ideas of ways to reach senior LGBTQ folks, programs and speakers that are of interest, and how to then build upon those relationships for increased volunteerism, mentoring, idea sharing and engagement. Compass Community Center has been offering an educational seminar about sexual orientation and gender identity. Michael has led this session to social work graduate students, governmental agencies, the Junior League, our senior social group, and dozens of others. This is an opportunity to share how we answer these questions in Palm Beach County with an eye towards sharing best practices. Demystifying issues around trans and non-binary communities is especially relevant these days. Michael is wonderfully open and relaxed sharing her personal journey as well as current standards.

Adrienne Percival, Development Coordinator, Compass Community Center
Michael Riordan, Marketing Coordinator, Compass Community Center
